Though not rare, the butterfly has a restricted distribution being confined to upper Eyre Peninsula. The mistletoe on which the caterpillars feed live almost exclusively on Western Myall. The caterpillars live in borer holes on the tree and though associated with ants are not dependent on them for their survival. Wingspan: male 32mm, female 34mm.
