1.30pm Commence proceedings MC Gerry Butler –Introduction and Why we are here.
1.35pm Keynote speaker Mike Moore “Reacting positively with the public to promote South Australian Butterflies” (25mins)
2.00pm Members Panel ‘Why am I involved?’

• Mike Moore (the environment, importance of butterflies, research and identification),
• Andrew Lines (field collecting and breeding),
• John Wilson (gardening),
• Gil Hollamby (Physiology of the butterfly and metamorphosis)

2.30-3.00pm Afternoon tea and networking
3.00-4.00pm 2-3 x 15 minute concurrent workshops:

• Display material erecting banners and talking to the public (Jan Forrest);
• Native plants as host plants increasing biodiversity and the variety of nectar plants available for adult butterflies (Karen Lane);
• Raising butterflies including the Wanderer butterfly (Monarch) and their host plants including milkweed (John Wilson and Linda Shmith); and
• Identification of SA butterflies (Mike Moore).

4.00pm Mini Quiz on butterflies – David Keane
