Unfortunately Annette Burmeister had to make changes to her schedule and was unable to provide her presentation as scheduled.
Jan Forrest O.A.M. was fortunately able to step into the breach and present a talk entitled ‘Behind the scenes of the South Australian Museum’.
Jan was a staff member at the museum for 47 years and is now an Honorary Associate. She has had extensive experience in the Museum entomology section including outback field work and as science content manager for the Biodiversity Gallery.
Jan was a founding member of Butterfly Conservation SA, and has occupied just about every position on our committee including that of President. She has been the key arranger of public talks and editor of the BCSA newsletter since their inception. Currently she is also acting secretary, very ready to mentor someone else willing to come forward and help with this particular task!
All the other arrangements for the meeting remain the same as described in the last email sent out last week.
The meeting is scheduled to start at 6:30 pm. We would like to start on time, so if you are coming please arrive ten minutes earlier to find a place. Bring a plate to share and do not forget your cup.
