Karen Jahn, Coordinator of the Cherington Therapeutic Community Garden writes of reawakening a dormant garden located at the old Blackwood Hospital, now known as Integrative Health Solutions.

We are a demonstration organic food producing and butterfly garden set within a magnificent established garden. Our mission involves, reconnecting people to nature through gardening, practical activities and conversation, we hold weekly social participation sessions and regular health and wellbeing garden workshops.”
“Our future projection is to hold 2x workshops monthly by special guests who can promote informative and practical approaches that foster health and wellbeing benefits of gardening and the development of biodiversity practices. Our focus is on Everything we do matters, never underestimate the impact you can have towards positive change.”
“Our group has a deep passion for the great outdoors, wholesome food, nature and community health. I recently completed a Bachelor in Community Health in December, 2021, and have an Advanced Diploma in Land Management, and am an aquatic plant specialist (25 years). Diana has over 30 years’ experience in permaculture and biodiversity practices.”
